On May 23, 2015, International Business School dean Zhang Zhihe attended the founding ceremony and deans summit of Management School Alliance for One Belt, One Road Universities in Xi'an Jiaotong University.
　　At the meeting, IBS joined the alliance and the deans of management schools of 12 universities from five countries along the Silk Road Economic Belt and 21st Century Maritime Silk Road jointly released the Xi'an Consensus.
　　XJTU president Wang Shuguo and Management School dean Huang Wei attended and spoke at the ceremony.
　　Other universities attending the ceremony and joining the alliance were KKyrgyz State University of Architecture and Engineering and Communications, Kyrgyz State Normal University, Kyrgyz International Innovation University, University of Sri Jayewardenepura of Sri Lanka, Institute of Transportation and Communications of Kazakhstan, Technical University of Tajikistan, Management School of Xi'an Jiaotong University, Management School of Lanzhou University, School of Economics and Management of Xi'an University of Post and Telecommunications, School of Economics and Management of Shihezi University, and School of Economics and Management of Xinjiang University.
　　At the high-end international forum on China's Pilot Reform Experimentation and Collaborative Evaluation Innovation held in this April, Zhang Zhihe and Huang Wei proposed to establish an Alliance of New Silk Road Universities. They further proposed to establish the Alliance of Management Schools of Universities Along the Silk Road Economic Belt and 21st Century Maritime Silk Road, and convene a summit for the deans.
　　Based on the concept of "Solidarity and Mutual Trust, Equality and Mutual Benefit, Tolerance and Mutual Learning, Cooperation and Win-win", the summit aimed to push forward the exchange in education and technology between the universities of countries along the Silk Road Economic Belt, foster high-quality interdisciplinary talents with international vision, contribute to the development of countries along the Silk Road Economic Belt, and enhance the understanding and friendship between the peoples.
