Hu Yu, a Class 2017 graduate student majoring in Industrial Economics at International Business School of Shaanxi Normal University, won honorable mention award in the Non-English Major Group of the fourth Northwest Graduate Student English Contest held in Xi'an Jiaotong University from April 24 to 25, 2015.
　　The Contest, also the tenth Shaanxi Province Graduate Student English Speech Contest, was sponsored by Shaanxi Provincial Office of Academic Degrees and the Chinese Graduate Student magazine.
　　Ninety four contestants from 69 universities and institutions participated in the Contest, with the numbers of contestant and institution both reaching new high.
　　The Contest was themed "China Dream, My Dream" and contestants competed in the three rounds of themed speech, impromptu speech and Q&A.
　　This Speech Contest is an activity organized to stimulate graduate students' passion in English learning and push forward the English teaching and learning for graduate students in Northwest China.
