From April 12 to 14, 2026, an accreditation peer review team from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) conducted a three-day on-site visit at the International Business School of Shaanxi Normal University.

The peer review team for this on-site visit was chaired by Mao Jiye, Dean of the School of Entrepreneurship and Management at ShanghaiTech University and former Dean of the Renmin Business School at Renmin University of China. The team members included Xie Xiaoyun (Dean of the School of Management at Zhejiang University, Deputy Party Secretary of the School, and Dean of the Zhejiang University International Business School) and Lyu Kangjuan (Director of the Personnel Office at Shanghai University and Party Secretary of the SILC Business School at Shanghai University).

During the on-site visit, Chen Xinbing, President and Deputy Party Secretary of Shaanxi Normal University, Lu Zhengshe, Director of the Human Resources Department, Yang Rencai, Deputy Director of the President's Office, Li Juan, Deputy Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office, along with members of the International Business School's leadership team, attended the welcome ceremony for the peer review team. President Chen Xinbing delivered a welcome address and provided a brief overview of the university's overall development as well as the progress and achievements made by the International Business School.

During the three-day on-site visit, the peer review team conducted a systematic and comprehensive assessment of the school. This was achieved through a variety of methods, including listening to presentations by the school's leadership, conducting in-depth interviews, reviewing supporting documentation, and undertaking on-site tours. The evaluation focused on key areas such as the school's mission and strategy, faculty development, talent cultivation system, research capacity, teaching support and assurance, as well as societal impact and engagement.

In addition, the peer review team held in-depth discussion sessions with representatives of faculty, administrative staff, students, and alumni. These sessions facilitated thorough exchanges on topics such as support for faculty research development, student learning support and learning experience, curriculum design, and career development.

After gaining a comprehensive understanding of the school's overall operations, the peer review team fully affirmed the school's achievements in relevant areas and provided targeted comments and suggestions for future continuous improvement. Luo Yonghui, Deputy Party Secretary of Shaanxi Normal University, attended the team's feedback session. On behalf of the university, she expressed gratitude for the team's diligent work and professional guidance, and responded to each of the feedback points raised by the team.

This on-site visit systematically examined the school's governance structure, talent cultivation, quality assurance, research management, and societal engagement. It served as a comprehensive assessment of the school's educational standards and developmental outcomes, while also charting a course for its continued improvement and high-quality development in the future.

The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), founded in 1916, is one of the oldest and most influential accrediting bodies for business schools worldwide. AACSB is dedicated to advancing the quality of business education, and its accreditation is widely recognized as a hallmark of excellence in international business education. Currently, only approximately six percent of business schools globally hold AACSB accreditation. The on-site visit is a critical component of the AACSB accreditation process.
